Free Cooking Demos

Eating healthy is easier than you think. 

Come learn new recipes and techniques for preparing delicious meals taught by a dietitian. We are pleased to offer these free cooking demonstrations to the community at 6:00 p.m. at our North Regional Health and Wellness Center, 56th & MLK Jr. Blvd, location that features a full demonstration kitchen. Each attendee will enjoy free samples of the dishes prepared, and will take home recipe cards and educational handouts. Registration is required to attend.

January 12: Jamaican Jerk Bowls | Try these Caribbean-inspired recipes and bowls to detox your system while still satisfying your taste buds.

January 17: Kids Class - Chipotle Bowls |  Make your own Chipotle bowls with fresh ingredients where that the whole family can participate and enjoy.

Jan 26: Cutting the Sugar | This class is designed to help you take care of that sweet tooth while cutting the sugar and detoxing for the new year. Try delicious recipes that include cookies, pancakes and warm savory drinks.

We know they are good for us, but they may be a little intimidating if you don’t know how to use them. In this class, we will learn more about how to fit these two ingredients into our everyday meal planning.

Instant Pot: Dried Beans | Beans are excellent source of protein and fiber. Dried beans are not only a great source of protein and fiber, but they are also the most economical form of protein available.
